Where and when is the concert?
The concert is at the Gasteig in the Carl-Orff-Saal on Saturday, July 8 at 19:00. There is a public parking garage onsite for a fee. By S-Bahn, come to Rosenheimer Platz and follow the signs toward Gasteig. By Tram, Line 15/25 stops at Rosenheimer Platz and Line 16 stops at Am Gasteig. Note that Tram 16 is interrupted due to construction at Sendlinger Tor. So coming from the Hauptbahnhof it might be best to take the S-Bahn.
Audience members should enter through the Glashalle. Performers should enter through the Künstlereingang (see pin on map marked TAXI-München eG) on Preysingstrasse, especially if you have instruments or equipment. The Preysingstrasse entrance gives you immediate access to a freight elevator that delivers you to the backstage area of the Carl-Orff-Saal.
How much are tickets and how do I get them?
Tickets are 15€ (children and students 8€). You can buy them through München Ticket online, in the Glashalle at the Gasteig or at their offices around town. There will be some tickets available at the Gasteig Abendkasse, but be aware that sometimes the Abendkasse has very long lines!
When should I arrive?
The staggered arrival times should help eliminate downtime for the ensembles not using the stage. If you choose to arrive early, please sit quietly in the house or stay backstage, in order to not distract the working ensemble. Please just note your ensemble’s arrival time! A detailed breakdown of the day will be posted backstage. Food and beverages will not be provided, so bring what you need or plan to pick something up from the area on a break.
Music stands (for Orchestra and Big Band) will be provided at the venue.
Singers: don’t forget to bring your music in a black folder with your name in it.
